Hi everybody I'm new to the forum so not sure how it works but here goes.
How do I clean the drainage pipes on the sunroofs of my scenic, there seems to be damp in the passengers footwell of the car and I've been told it could be blocked pipes in the sunroof?? I hope somebody can point me in the right direction.

Re: sunroof

Welcome to the forum

Which model/year is your Scenic?

On my wife's Modus I used a combination of the hose pipe and the wire from a garden strimmer...some recomend a curtain wire or similar.

How you get to them depends on the type of sunroof you have, but you are looking for drain holes in the frame at each corner

Re: sunroof

Did clearing the drainage holes work for you? I'm having the same issue with my 2000 scenic electric sunroof leaking. I've cleared the drainage holes (dont think they were actually blocked but i'm still getting a wet patch on the passenger side headlining where it meets the windcreen pillar. Any ideas? do i need to replace the sunroof seal?

Re: sunroof

Mk I Scenic is easy, turn the steering wheel onto full lock so you can access the trim panel behind the wheel. Take out a couple of screws and you can pull the trim back to reveal the drain pipe. It will have a rubber flap arrangement on the end, pull it off and then you can poke wire up the drain pipe to clear it out. Pour some hot water down the drain at the top corner on both sides to shift dirty residue in the pipe. While you have the trim pulled out clean all the mud/crap acculmulated there, you'll be amazed how much gets in.

Re: sunroof

Hi Marmalade. I had the same problem which turned out to be blocked drains under the bonnet. You will need to take off the windscreen panel to check (3 screws) and may well find leaves blocking the drain which then overflows into the air intakes and into the footwells. Hope this helps. Graham
