Scenic CLUNKY doors??

Since i bought my car a few months ago, a real bugbear its had is that the passnerger front and drivers doors sound very clunky when opening, they click and sound like they are going to snap off!

been to a local repairshop who checked it and say both the lower door hinges are worn and need replacing to stop the problem. he rung reanult parts but they are pricing the hinges at approx 60 each, and the repairshop say it will cost 60 labour. all in all, about 215 inc vat just to sort noisy doors.

does anyone know if i can get hold or these lower hinges cheaper, and where?
many thanks

Re: Scenic CLUNKY doors??

I had the very same problem with one of my past cars, can't remember which. However, it turned out to be the rod that moves in and out of the door [between the hinges] was loose. Have a look at that first and tighten any associated bolts to see if that cures the problem
