Re: Megane cc as water tight as a sieve

It never got fixed, after 9 months, 13 visits to the garage, and work which would've cost me 2000 had I paid for it, I turned to some strongly worded letters and a letter from a solicitor and the dealer eventually took the vehicle back for an agreeable price.

I wish you luck, get Renault customer services involved as soon as possible.

I personally will never buy Renault again

Re: Megane cc as water tight as a sieve

Were there any solutions to this problem?

I bought my hardtop convertible about 5 months ago, in the midst of summer. Its an 06 plate.

About 2 months in I noticed a slight leak in the join just about the driver but never too much to be a problem.

As we had a rather dry autumn, it hasn't been an issue, but now it is getting really bad. The front seats are soaking every time I get in, and the car is starting to smell musty. 2 weeks ago I even put waterproof tape over the joins on the roof at the front and down the slides slightly (not going to be top-less in winter anyway), but it still seems to be getting in. And now, there is a layer of frost on the underside of the glass roof.

I checked the seals and they seem fine, but I would have thought the tape would've at least been a temporary solution?

Is there any (low-budget) solution to this please?
Any thoughts/help would be greatly appreciated.

My wife has a 57plate cc, she's had it for over 3yrs, it's been back to Renault several times, same kinda place, given up on it, as soon as spring comes she's part ex-ing, it and not going back, it's not just Renaults but other brands, my brother in law works for Ford, Focus cc's are just as bad
