Clio Condensation Problems

I have a March 2000 Clio auto (Etiole) 4 door in excellent condition with a factory fitted electric glass sunroof. It lives on my drive in Central Scotland. During the last two winters a serious amount of condensation has occurred between the headlining and inside of the roof above the front doors between the A and B pillars. So much so that it has stained the headlining and water sometimes drips onto the seat and carpet. The sunroof\roof seal looks in good condition. Can anyone help me cure this problem?

Re: Clio Condensation Problems

the caps on the bottom ends of the drainage pipes have gunked up, use 3m of net curtain wire(without the hooks on the ends) to push down from the top to try to unblock them.
failing that, pull the spalsh guards partly off and remove the whitish/yellow caps. then pour hot soapy water down the pipes and use the curtain wire to push the gunk out. repeat for front 2 ( and rear 2,if fitted) pipes.
then you just need to pull up the carpet and mop up the water under it and then put a fan heater in the car to warm it up and dry it out.

Re: Clio Condensation Problems

Thanks Mord. Will check the tubes but the water is all over the inside of the steel roof. May have to use some household loft insulation to stop temperature change.
