Re: Tint

govdirect site states
Front windscreen
25% tint- 75% light to pass thru
Front drivers & passengers
30% tint- 70% light to pass thru
Rear window & rear passengers can have anything
But watch as cars normally have a tint to the windows already, so any extra tint to the front windows could put you over legal.
Having said that depends how strict the police are where you live

Re: Tint

if your car is under 10 years old id say there at the legal limit on tint you can tint the rear no probs but if you do the 2 front door windows you may get stoped told to pull the tint of there and then and get a fine to

The night has fallen, the day is done,
The moon has taken the place of the sun,
Close your eyes snuggle up tight,Angels

Rather bad advice I would say - there are reasons for the limits, not to mention that if a car is illegal to drive it can land either the current or future owner in trouble.

Also I wouldn't be surprised that windows wouldn't be a fail item on the MoT if they exceed the limits.
