frozen door lock

i own a 56 plate renault megane 1.5 dci. I can open the drivers door in the freezing weather but it will not close shut. So i have to get warm water and pour it down the window and on the lock so i can close the door. I have sprayed the lock and down the window with wd40 and silicone

Re: frozen door lock

Pouring water down the window will only make matters worse as you are introducing more water to freeze.

Have you removed the door liner and sprayed the interior lock mechanism?
