i have replaced my ligh and low dipped beam with osram bulbs, do not reccomend smd for that there crap and i have led sidelights at no point have i had to remove the bumper or headlight for a bulb swap

Don't put the headlight unit into oven, instead you can buy a heat gun and heat up the sealing around the unit for a few minutes, then you can take it apart. You can replace the parking light with LED (that's what I'm going to do soon). If you wish to place the LED stripe into the head unit, you can put the wires through the bulb hole. But that's one damn job to do. Search the net for "installing LED into headlights" and you found for most cars it is possible to remove the head unit and place the LED stripe under the unit and it will shine through. You can wire it to be on with the engine, or to be on with (or instead of) the parking light (one click).
