There's nothing inherently damaging about anything in T-Cut as long as any excess is buffed off, and a wax polish used to restore the (for want of a better term) inertness of the lacquer.
If that step wasn't done, then the typically hard-shell the clearcoat forms once baked in the factory is compromised a little, roughening it up a touch and making it more susceptible to further reactions.
I'd say a good compounding & a wax polish would correct this for you.
