Re: laguna mk1 bonnet lock
ok, you need to go down to the nearest dealership and order both cables. (about £26 in total)
then once they are in hand, head round to a indy garage and get them to pop the car up on a ramp and get both the latches released. (its really not worth the agro for you to rip your hands up doing it, give someone else a tenner to do it.)
then you can replace both cables.
the long one runs from the right of the steering column (10 or 13mm bolt) through the firewall, across the back of the engine bay, then round the NS shock mount and under the slam panel on the right(NS) to the NS latch. the short cable runs from the NS latch to the OS latch in front of the radiator up under the slam panel(there are some clips for it somewhere under there.)
in future have someone (without a handfull of rings on!) press down on both front ends of the bonnet whislt you pull the under dash lever to release the bonnet if its being a bit sticky. they should be kept clean, as if oiled/greased up they will seize due to road dirt.
