rear spoiler removal

I have a 1997 laguna and im really confussed as to why the spoiler has not come off yet, i have removed the two screws from either side of the spoiler and also the middle screw which was actually snapped but its still stuck solid on both sides except the middle , am i missing some screws or is it just bonded REALLY well? any tips would be great

Re: rear spoiler removal

why are you trying to take the spoiler off, if its the factory fit one, your probably wasting your time. ive broken several trying to take them off.
you are far better off swapping the entire panel over if your looking to upgrade your car with the factory fit spoiler, then its just a case of hunting down a matching colour coded vehicle.

FYI the steel bolts tend to corrode into the holes of the panel. try tapping it with a hammer, use a peice of wood between the hammer and bolts.
the embedded bolt studs in the spoiler are pretty fragile and if stressed will start to spin and crack the spolier, which is why i gave up trying to change just the spoiler when i upgraded my old laggy1.
