Angry boot lid suddenly very heavy to lift

I have a 2004 Grand Scenic.Today the boot lid became heavy to lift. It is obvious something has gone wrong with presumably the hydraulic mechanism. Anyone else had this and what isthe solution. Thanks

Re: boot lid suddenly very heavy to lift

If the hydraulic lifters have become week or failed then it a replacement job although there are some companies who claim they can regas them.
