thanks. so i will mayby just polish bonnet if those markers are rubbish.

My current car had a few free bumps, bruises and scratches. I tried the closest match coloured "lipstick" effort and have been surprised at the results. In a good way of course !
These scratches & chips were in less conspicuous spots than the bonnet but so far I've been content with the results.
If the damage is more than slight then as Paul suggests it may be better to have it professionally appraised before you decide on the method of approach. He knows his stuff.
