After a long time fault finding we found our 2003 megane dci 120 had a hole in the piston, we bought it from somebody and on the way home from buying it the engine shot up to 4000rpm and wouldnt stop, we fount it was the turbo that had gone and also one of the injectors had been leaking onto a piston and burned a hole in it so inevitably we have had to have another recon engine within 6 months, to which the seller would have nothing to do with. The engine was taken out by my friend, an apprentice mechanic and it was sent for recon and came back in bits. He sent it away as a full engine and he has put it all back in the car but is unsure about a vacuum diagram around the EGR valve or something? I have no Idea what this is and i am unsure and cant check til he is back from holiday but I wondered if anyone on here has a diagram or a photo under their bonnet so he knows how to hook it up, Any help would be much appreciated as the car has been off the road a long time now and obviously a lot of money has been chucked at it and we are running low on funds to send it to the dealer to finish.
