NV926 Goodwood Green for 2001 Clio Alize

Hi all

I have purchased NV926 Goodwood Green as a match for my Clio from Halfords spray paint range.

I know Halfords paint has been mentioned to be sometimes known not to match and I am not 100% that my colour match is right. My tin says metallic finish where as other websites have mentioned perlescent finish. If I use lacquer over this supposed Halfords match would it make any difference whether its metallic or perlescent or not?

Many thanks in advance for any help that anyone can provide.

Laquer is a clear coat so I can't see how it would the underlying make paint go pearlescent or metallic. But a pearlescent paint can be desribed as a metallic paint so your tin description is not completely incorrect.

Hi there.

You need a matt black primer to start with and finish off the green basecoat with a clear lacquer topcoat.

Use a heatgun or hairdrier to help the coats dry, and paint under coverif at all possible.

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
