Laguna 2 front and rear wash wipe connection?

Hi guys and gals,

I have noticed that when I do a "wash wipe" on the front screen there is first a small squirt of water on the rear screen before I get any water on the windscreen.

I would have assumed the screens had separate pumps or is there a valve and it uses the same pump so the valve is faulty?

I will be removing the front bumper soon to fit a new headlight so this would be the ideal time to fix any problems near the washer bottle at the same time.

Thanks in advance as usual!

Re: Laguna 2 front and rear wash wipe connection?

The front and rear washers share the same pump (quite a commopn feature on many makes) which has a one way-valve inside which gets gummed up. Sometimes a rinse with hand hot water cures the problem - if not remove the pump for a good clear out when you have the front bumper off.
