Laguna II jacking point height?

Hi guys! I am an enineering student, and my current task is to remodel a given car jack, and do all neccesary calculations. The task requires to work with the real-life parameters when possible. As I found out, the jack I was given belongs to a Laguna II, thats why I need to know the height of the jacking point. Please, if you have a Laguna home, measure this data, and share it with me! :D If noone replies, I go out, and find a laguna for myself to measure, but it would be very embarassing to be caught red handed while collecting data from a stranger's car :D

Re: Laguna II jacking point height?

Being an ex-tutor I will complicate your question a bit further. Is the height measurement required to be when the car is sitting normally or when it has a flat tyre or what would the distance be if there was a dip or hump in the road surface.

In essence there are numerous variations so an educated guess would be more than sufficient to proceed with your task. Pick a nice round number such as 100mm and away you go.

Re: Laguna II jacking point height?

Just as a matter of interest : Is it remodel a jack with any brief?
The ones we get nowadays seem to be based on the "cheapest, flimsiest we can get away with" principle
tho I have seen worse than renault's.
