Laguna with lagoon

Should a Laguna 2 estate have a drain hole in the spare wheel well? I bought one just after Christmas, and the wheel well is full of water, but I can't see a hole to let it out. Is it OK to just drill one?

Re: Laguna with lagoon

Hello and welcome to the forum.

In theory there should be no water in the spare wheel well and I strongly suspect there isn't any drain point. You could put your own hole in it,but really that's not fixing the actual problem and you need to trace where the water is coming in from.

Ditto to the above!

Possible ingress points would most likely be the rear light clusters or boot seal although this small list is certainly not exhaustive!

Instead of draing the lagoon you could get a couple of goldfish - only joking.

Dry the boot and wheel well as best you can - then when dry sprinle some talcum powder around - hope fully any water coming in will leave a trail.

Re: Laguna with lagoon

My dog chewed through a 25 litre camping water container last year. My spare well filled with water. I just emptied with a cup as best I could then mopped up the rest with a few towels.
