well, I tried breifly a year or two ago- used a large syringe to alternately suck / push water along from both ends. No joy. I could get a fair pressure into the pipe too. It would leak somewhere between inner right trim panel, and rear door shut pillar on drivers side. but can't be bothered removing panel to check it out. Maybe when summer comes (and I won't need it so much anyway!),,,,,,cheerz!

BTW, don't know about Washing up liquid used- not by me but previously owned, so don't know.

rear washer

Yeh that's the prob with rear washers they tend not to get used much and if no anti-freeze screenwash added it will tend to freeze - just gungy water lying doing nothin. I used to add washing-up liquid - until I saw an experiment. Take a clean jar of water add some washing-up liquid and set it down in a quiet corner and come back in a few weeks - an awful gunge jelly type stuff forms in the bottom and it will block pipes and wreck all the jets and pumps in creation. This type of liquid also has high levels of salt which is no good either.. The only way to bet rid of it is to flush out the system with hot water and loads of clear clean water - then add some proper stuff.. Had to replace a water pump on a rover once - apart from the cost of the pump it took about 3- hours labour to fix it (headlight, inner wheel arch cover and every associated had to come out. When you can buy about 5 litres of the proper stuff for a fiver it worth it. No freezing, gunge or busted pumps or jets - also reduces the calcium effects of hard water. Rol on the warmer weather then you can get it fixed maybe.
