How to changed the front windscreen wipers on Laguna II priviledge hatchback?

Hi, I visited Halfords today during lunchtime and suddenly felt like changing the wipers for the first time. I tried to follow the handbook to lift the wipers up, but it can never come up because the mechanism on the wiper make sure it doesn't. I therefore seek assistance from you all. Thanks in advance.

Hi there sassyboy, are you actually changing the wiper arms or just the blades?

I am changing just the blades. It was not easy to do, but my local Renault authorised service provider has kindly put them on for me for free while they also gave my a car a FREE 25 points safety checks. 3 engineers struggled to put take the old ones out and put the new one in. It was the most experienced long-time Renault engineer that finally did it with ease. Thanks.

Yep, it's not easy due to the fact the arms will not fully come away from the windscreen.
I found that when I replaced my wipers with Bosch ones I had to reuse the original Renault (valeo) brackets that actually clip on to the replacement wiper blade assembly.

However, I have just recently fitted the new flat syle wiper blade conversion kit to ours and fitting was a doddle. The blades are the new flat style as fitted to most new cars these days, but the bracket is different so you can still attatch them to the wiper arms with the hook on the end!

Could you share an online link regarding this product or where can I buy this kit?
