Re: Urgent: Fuel Cap on Renault Laguna cannot be opened

Just by the way Clio 3's are highly prone to this too, mine appears to be disabled or seized in the unlock position, and probably has been since long before I got it; but that's OK, I just bought a locking petrol cap with 2 keys. Flap is left unlocked. It's all plastic anyway won't keep out a determined tea-leaf with a big screwdriver.

Mines the same, sometimes it works but sometimes you have to use the hook which does not feel natural. Like someone said you do feel like your going to break it. Also when I lock the car , you can hear a creaking from it.

Also on my list of woes though I still love the car after buying in May for 2800 1.5 DCI panoramic dynamic 2008 tourer

Mpg average 43, not 56 as advertised

Check injection sometimes /weekly comes on / stop car/ restart and all is good .

Passenger front door sometimes won't open from outside,

The most annoying thing though now is a rattling springy noise coming from when I am driving, right at the level of my right ear? Seatbelt tensioner or airbag ? I really don't know but has anyone else had this

poor servicing - all locks should be oiled as per the service schedule this would include the fuel flap and bonnet lock mechanism.
