Unhappy Megane - how to remove aerial?

hi everyone, struggling to remove the exterior aerial on my megane. trying to replace it with a shorter one. have tried unscrewing it like you do on most cars, is that right? it doesnt seem to want to move!!

sorry for asking a daft question, its just puzzling me!!

Welcome to the forum. I would say unscrewing it would work, but if it's corroded on you may need to get some pliers on it. Failing that park it in my road and the arial will be gone by morning.

it will be very tight due to water ingress,get a small cloth and wrapp the areial so you dont damage it, get some mole grips and remove it that way

they may be a chance of snapping it so beware(it may require a new houseing if it snaps in the housing)
