lacuer on front plastic piece Laguna 1

hi all.

I have a laguna 1.9 dti rt, 1998 S reg, not sure if its phase 1 or 2.

The front bit, above the bumper but just under the grill, it goes from one side of the car to the other, is plastic, and it seems to have the lacuer (not sure on spelling) coming off. Its bubbling off. the paint appears to be just fine, not pealing at all, just the plastic clear film over it is peeling away.

Anyone know if this is something I can easily put back again, spray, wipe, paint etc, and if so, what should I be getting to do it.

I also have a very small palm size dent in the lower part of the drivers door, no chipped paint or rippled metal, and would like to know if there is a free way to repair this without taking the door to bits (I am not yet confident in doing this through fear of breaking or losing something

Hi mate, if you can remove the piece that's peeling then I would say you could sand back and respray the part yourself for very cheap, and you'll enjoy it too. If you want to know more about this then let me know and I can give you a step by step guide on how to do this. As for the dent in your door, it sounds too small to be able to pull out using a sucker, maybe you can push it out from inside the door. Have you any pic's of the dent?

I think most Lag I's have this problem, as you say the front bumper is plastic and therefore flexible and also most of the crap from the roads is thrown into this area, I have a similar patch on mine, I think the solution is to remove the bumper and sand it down and then respray the whole lot.
