I had mine starting to seize up and managed to free it by squirting a lot of WD40 in and around it, eventually it freed up and has been OK ever since, give it a try.
You can get a socket on the nut that attatches the wiper arm, a puller must be used to remove the wiper arm.
You then remove the nut on the left under the plastic cover to remove the assembly.
