Window overlaps the rubber seal!??

hi guys,
1st post but important nevertheless!
i purchased a megane dynamique coupe/convertible (im nearly 50 ,mid life crisis??? lol) in july 08 plate ,nice car but tonight i just noticed on drivers side that my window when i shut the door overlaps the seal & i have to pop it in, gently ,but from inside i just roll both back/front windows open then shut itll pop back into place but on leaving the car i now have to pop it in very gently!??

i,ve tried lowering roof & back up several times to no avail but im scratching my head as why will it not fit when i shut the door but if i lower both front & back windows down then up it sorts itself out!!?????
surely it cant just be out of line as rolling down then back up it would still be out of line im thinking!??

i think my warranty might be up im really not sure , i,ve never bought a car of this age under a HP purchase (i usually buy cars with windows already out or falling out but easily noticeable!!! )
so can any of you very knowledgeable people help me out ,in any way , so my car is back to normal??

many thanks & please fire away with any questions you wish to ask

I have the same issue on my passenger side door - would be interested for any insight into this.

Re: Window overlaps the rubber seal!??

My CLS has frameless doors front & rear, and when opening & closing the doors, the windows drop by about 1 cm, then raise into position within the rubber seal.

I would've thought your doors should do the same, otherwise not only are they not seating correctly, but the glass is catching the seal when the door is opened.

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.
