Whatever type of degreaser you use whether it be petrol,diesel or whatever.
Thouroughly rinse the area with water and car shampoo. Then polish and wax to reseal and shine the paintwork.
Personally i would avoid white spirit and petrol - apart from maybe if it was only one or two tiny spots. Asmost of your door seems peppered I would go for the Autoglym or Turtle Wax tar/bug remover.
MER is also quite good at removing tar spots - will also polish your paintwork at the same time.
£100 for full interior/exterior and engine valet seems quite a good price. It would also save you the time and effort of doing it yourself!
