Touched a bumper.

When leaving a property today I reversed out of a parking space and very lightly touched the bumper of another car.

There was no damage to either car.

I waited a minute and no one came to the car.
I hade no paper with me so could not leave a note.

Think the car must be of one of the resident there and seen it there at another time.

Have a pic of the other car bumper showing no damage. Also have other cars reg.

Wondering if should go back and leaves a note or do something. Just worried, hopefully over nothing.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Re: Touched a bumper.

As there was no damage it shouldn't be a problem really so. Wouldn't worry too much about it, just a conscience thing really.

If certain no damage forget it.

If damage do the right thing and go back.

Re: Touched a bumper.

If there is no damage there is no need to report it or leave details.
Thats what bumpers are designed for .... to absorb minor / low speed impacts.
However having said that the cost of repair to cracked plastics or paintwork can be costly. Also in theory you could also bend the metal panel / mounting point behind the bumper without leaving any visible mark outside .. although in your case I think it very unlikely if it was just a 'touch'.
It is annoying if you see another driver bump into your own car, but you did the right thing by waiting around but no one appeared, so you can sleep with a clear conscience.
