Question Scinic II (Glass roof) Roof Gutter Trim Removal

I noticed yesterday whilst filling up that the gutters on the roof of my 04 Scenic II are rather full of pine needles (previous owner seems to have lived in a pine forest!!)

I know that this will cause leaky roof problems in the future so I tried last night to clean these out, but the access is very poor since the gap between body and trim is very small (obviously to prevent debris getting in!!).

There is a painted metal cover trim (about 2 in wide) that covers the gutters and runs the length of the car. Can anybody give me a tip on how best to remove this so that I can clear out all of the accumulated debris. With good access I will also be able to check the drains.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Paul,

Not sure how you remove the rail covers.

Have you tried a hoover and a brush .
