I repeat - I am in no way connected to this product, but just want to inform others, and see if it can live up to its claims over the term stated
No offence intended russ. It just seemed a bit generic, that is all.

You are right in the fact that most people take rather than give in their first post but that's the way of the world I am afraid. Most people would not even think of looking for a forum such as this unless, of course, they have a problem that they do not understand, hence a request for help in their first post. However, some do introduce themselves first.

I applaud you and welcome you to the forums, in this case, for giving before receiving (leave the smutty comments eh).

PS: Nice looking motor.

Hi Nige,

Yes it is Pearlescent Black.

Out of interest, we have the factory electric panoramic sunroof and the sliding centre console, that has a neat electric release mechanism (hope the solenoid lasts)

We bought it from a Ford Dealer as a parallel import to UK spec. with only 5.5 miles on the clock and came with 2 years and 11 months manufacturers warranty, already registered on the Renault UK Database according to our local Renault dealer, and AA cover.

Oh and one more thing it had, was a hefty saving on the price from a UK Dealer

You have probably guessed mine is also pearlescent black also with panoramic electrical sunroof - did'nt think i would use it much having climate control - but often open it up at the start of a journey when warm - the kids are far more convinced with this than me telling them to shut all the windows the car will cool down on it's own.

I bought my car from a Renault dealer but it was just over 3 years old so without the warranty. However getting the discount and having a warranty is a good move. I have not spent much on this car so far (wish I had'nt said that), but you could save yourself a small fortune.

I did also get hold of a pearlescent touch up pen from a motor factors for a couple of stone chips on the bonnet and slight chips on the door line. I hope you don't need one of these - the first mark, chip, dent will really hurt.

Moving centre console sounds groovy - I must admit I was worried about all the toys and gismos on this car - another good reason to have warranty.

TBH its allright if you are not interested in maintaining your car.

However you would be better off cleaning and correcting the paint first, and then apply a high quality wax. Collinite 976 is very hard and lasts about 9 months. The good thing with these pure waxes is you can layer them, adding more depth and protection.

The polish above is an all in one product, and would not be layerable as it sounds as if it contains abrasives.
