you havent used the conserver with this product

you have been using it through a car wash which removes it instantly which makes your warrenty now....void

im not saying in anyway that the product is c*** as its not,in respect it leaves a good finish and is a lasting polish but imo 6mth is about it,not 5years which these companys stipulate on there products

Re: 5 Year Polish

I washed the car yesterday as it happens with a standard wash'n'wax product and IMHO I think the surface is still quite good, producing a good degree of water beading, just like when the car was new.
Yes it is not as good as a regular wax, but I have not got time for that with two kids, who think that wiping the car with a sponge they have just dropped in the mud is a good idea.

So on the whole, not too bad even after four years.

I know some will not believe me and even say "you must work for the company", but i dont work for the company, and I still remainn pleased with the product.

Incidentally, I NEVER use a car wash, just a bucket of warm water and a sponge.

Re: 5 Year Polish

I use "simonsays"(yes I know thats not the right name, but Im sure everyone knows what I mean).
I mean the original wax not the "simonsays" carshampoo with added wax, ultra easy to apply "simonsays polish for metallic finishes" or similar.

1 application per year does me, then regular garage pay for your wash runs.
If its set up properly there is a little tempory wax in the final rinse .
I allways use the final rinse of the cycle from a distance in a "mist spray", dont use it as a final ooh I missed a bit power blast..

Tar spots are the worst,.If you leave them for any length of time u have to use neat petrol to get them off and then wash car and reapply your "simonsays"

btw what is it about new cars that attracts flies .
They leave "fly poop", I kid you not.Its like a very weak tar spot .

I dont like to link anything much on site now, but if you google for long term reports on the Meg III, you will see the guy is real keen on an instant long lasting super wax.
