Door has dropped, awkward to close and won't lock even when all doors locked

I have a Clio 5 door 2003 model mk2 and the door has dropped. It has probably dropped 1 or 2cm or so but basically it now bangs on the actual door hinge thing (the black rubber circular cylinder sort of thing that the locking mechanism locks into which is screwed onto the door frame) that black circular thing has also started to become a little corroded like you can see the wear, itís not smooth itís as if someone has put a tight ring on it and squeezed it and itís imprinted because of the door locking mechanism rubbing on it. Do I make sense? So basically now the door isnít locking either. When the car is locked, all the other doors and the boot are secure but this door just opens as if the car is unlocked and of course you have to push the door in hard for it to shut properly or slam it hard otherwise it just bangs on the black cylinder thing that the locking mechanism goes into... because the door has dropped it doesnít fit onto the black thing and itís sort of misaligned. This probably makes no sense but Iím sure someone will know what Iím talking about. I want to know how much it would cost to fix it by whatever the cheapest solution is?

Hello and wellcome,m
You dont really indicate if you are "have a go lee".
mean whether or not you do your own car maintenance.

If you dont, go to a local competent mechanic you use, to determine if hinges/pins are worn and need to be replaced or:
If door can be adjusted to compensate for hinge wear, since you say its dropped 1-2cm at the trailing edge..

Itshould be possible to adjust the catch or striking plate so the door will lock properly again, but if trying that diy, a manual, such as a haynes one would be usefull.

Is there play in the hinges..can you lift the trailing edge of the door up the 1-2cm and then it drops down again?..or does the door close properly if you lift it by the handle from the outside as it closes?

Currently in coup's garage:
RM III coupe 1.5dci FVT,Audi TT Mk1 ,a bike and too much rubbish.
