Wing mirror adjustment

I have an Espace 4 (LHD) but have an issue with the wing mirror or the passenger side. The controls all work fine and move the mirror but I cannot get it into a position for my wife to be able to see properly, (its fine for me) as it simply won't move enough. She is not so small, in fact a little taller than most women but when she has the diver seat positioned for her, the mirror won't move far enough (ie towards the car) for her to see alongside the vehicle. The driver side is fine. Is there any way this can be adjusted further?

Re: Wing mirror adjustment

I don't know if yours is the same, but in the case of my old Megane 2 & Laguna 2 I used to push the mirror itself. That made it go further than the electrics, if required.

Re: Wing mirror adjustment

When we got our Mk2 Scenic, SWMBO (who is a short ar*e) couldn't get the mirrors far enough out for her driving position (closer to the windscreen than a headlight bulb to it's glass).
A gentle lever with summat soft behind the mirror glass, popped it off, an application of WD40, or similar to the gears / racks & running the motors fully left, right, up, down a few times whilst watching to see it hit the end stops cured the problem. Brushing the gears with an old toothbrush to remove cr*p will help too.
