Megane CC 2014 Body panel issues

I have just purchased a new 2014 Megane CC and have noticed that the drivers side rear panel has a vertical "ripple" just in front of the fuel filler cap. The Renault dealer has looked at it and says its a "feature" of the 2014 facelift model. I see this as a manufacturing and design issue - has anyone else experienced this? I want Renault to investigate, but this is proving difficult! My wife is most upset!

I couldnt see anything vertical on this one, even with changing lighting and reflection patterns.

Re: Megane CC 2014 Body panel issues

Yes - the new 2015 CC Megane we bought in June 2015 has the same vertical ripple by the fuel filler flap. We also have two vertical ripples in the driver's door and smaller ripples around the passenger door handle. The dealer said all this was a feature of the car - we checked other cars and found there were no door issues with other cars although they all had a vertical ripple by the fuel filler cap. Ours is quite marked although earlier cars (eg 2011/2012) are slighter. The dealer has agreed to change the doors but the rear wing is to stay as it is (which wer're quite annoyed about). We feel these are faults in the body, either the pressing or caused by welded brackets inside the wing. We are amazed with all the quality control there is supposed to be in place that this type of bodywork issue can be evident. We also have a problem with the silver windscreen A post cover - it's not level at the bottom where it joins the wing on the driver's side - the gap tapers whereas on the other side it is parallel.
I suggest you go back to the dealer and explain that a car should not be produced with these ripples. We had to contact Renault UK and be quite forceful.
