I've got a W reg Espace and I had exactly the same problem today with the drivers door. So here goes. With the drivers door wide open to allow as much room as possible, I pulled up the square shaped plastic retaining slide which holds the multi plug on the door wiring harness into the drivers side door pillar. I then pulled the plug out and simply pushed it back in again. I repeated this simple action 3or 4 times before replacing the plug normally as it was. No tools are required. The drivers door now locks again with all of the other doors, every time, using the remote. I should add that before, it wouldn't even lock using the key in the passenger side door lock, whilst all the other locks did work that way. Suffice to say, another seemingly expensive problem bites the dust with another great cost saving to boot. Phew! Don't we all just love a happy ending!
