Re: Renault Megane - CC Roof Leak

Wish it were that simple Steve!

The part chase is being handled by Renault Uk anyway.

Worth telling the story.....

When the leak was discovered, I spoke to Warranty dept and booked car into nearest dealer A - 6 miles away. Dealer A said it was a body shop job and referred me to dealer B - 21 miles away.
Dealer B said they were a generic body shop and didn't have the skills and referred me to dealer C - 27 miles away
Dealer C looked at the problem and said it was a service job not a body job and just needed the said parts to complete it.

That was 9 weeks ago.

I have looked at other forums and discovered very similar woes being recorded by Astra Twin top owners and even VW Eos.

Also heard rumour that so bad is the problems of building a relaible electric hard top that the new Astra Cab will use a cloth roof.

I wonder why Audi have never been tempted by hard tops?

Anyone heard about Peugeot roof problems?

Thumbs up Re: Renault Megane - CC Roof Leak

Just had our Cabbie back from Just Ren**** Please re-read Forum Rules. Had it for 1.5 weeks, total strip down and what is bes described as a forensic examination, leaks tracked to holes in windscreen pillars, letting into foot wells, leak tracks back and end up in rear foot wells. Soggy carpets, steaming up, water sloshing around and smell.

Thanks to the determination of these guys, car is now dry and leak free.
