The water appears to be coming from the sunroof (?breaching the rubber seal) and not from the internal trim, light fixture or any of the other routes suggested by other writers on this site.
Therefore indicating that the problem is probably not with disconnected hoses to the sunroof end, but rather the outflow. (or in reality blocked hoses)
On another site I read that the rubber window seal is not constructed to hold back large amounts of standing water. In the past I have cleaned and greased the rubber. This stopped the problem for a short period. We certainly have a "standing water" problem in the gutter at the edge of the sunroof, which again indicates lack of drainage.
So it looks like I am into "hunt the drain" and clean mode this weekend.
Now to find the outflow........
In addition to my previous question about finding the outflow end to the drain hoses. What do the hoses look like in the sunroof? Whilst cleaning out the gutter and rubber seal etc, I cannot remember seeing any obvious holes?
Any guidance is greatfully received.
