Re. your question. The water is not 'puddling'. It tends to spill out from the sunroof 'lip' when cornering. Hence my previous message. It always drops onto the driver - usually in their lap.
It appears that the rubber seal holds when the car is stationary, but there is enough flexture to allow seapage onto the internal lip when driving.

Does this sound like blocked drains to you?
The outer membrane of sunroofs will never hold all water back hence the need for the drain holes. It very much sounds like the holes are blocked if its spilling into the car from the sills of the sunroof. You should clearly be able to see the front drainholes in the front corners of the opened sunroof.

As I said before, I'm working blind here as I have a Lag and have never owned a Clio.

Keep us posted though.

Hi Scatz,

I had a quick look at the rear of the front wheel arch for the drain outlet - offside only as it was lashing down - and there it is, clear as a bell.

About 9 inches up, in the centre of the arch, is a circular black plastic "disc" that stands slightly proud of the arch surface. In the centre of which is the drain hole. YES.

All I have to do now is find out if blocked drains is the problem.....

But definate progess.
