Unhappy Laguna II - Water sloshing around in dash - drain holes blocked?

Hi Guys.

I have rain water sloshing around in the dash area below the windscreen. It's also spilling out over the front passengers feet.

I'm guessing that the drain holes have been blocked with leaves as it's been windy and rainy recently.

Can anyone point me towards a posting that shows how to locate and unblock them.

Happy Xmas.

Comon issue you have a sunroof?
There are drain holes on either side, well at the end of these is a gromit like plug, they block up, my laguna same issue I had to remove the wheel and the cowling guards and remove those plugs and poke like a metal clothes hanger up it to remove the blockage, I left those plugs off, as they stop vermits from going in there, but i said bugger them let them get wet.

Hi, I prefer doing this from above. Remove the plastic scuttle cover and poke from above, I use a yard of spare windscreen washer tube once the water level goes down you can see the top of tubes and they can be removed and flushed through under a tap then re fitted.

Try also using push bike brake cable or the stuff that's similar for net curtains. To be a crude drain rod.

Re: Laguna II - Water sloshing around in dash - drain holes blocked?

Hi, thanks.

I think I got lucky with this one. When I took the cowling off I found two rubber flaps at each end of the trough which were pretty bunged up and not allowing water past. I cleaned these up and when I poured water in it went through and down both tubes to the ground - so the tubes weren't blocked but the flaps just lead to another chamber - I couldn't see the tops of the tubes? You can see from the trough area through a hole in the fire-wall to the top of the cabin filter where the water poured through.

I took some photos - will post later.

Happy boxing day.
