drivers door ready to fall off!

My 51 plate Scenic has developed a split at the bottom of the hinge, it has grown worse over the last month and is ready to literally fall off, upon closer inspection, i can't believe how thin the metal is that is holding such a heavy door, very poor quality in my opinion, anyone else had problems like mine?, i asked a welder to give me an estimate but he is worried that there are wires running behind the fault and welding might cause problems, i'll put a picture of it on here tomorrow for you all to see!

Sounds like the door hinge has seized - and the door frame has started to flex and and crack - nowadays lubricating door hinges doesn't seem to figure on any service schedules
