I agree with Horatio Renault. But make sure you keep the bill. When I had my old Lag 1 I noticed a bit of rust on the rear near side wing and tried claiming on the anti perf warranty. The Lag 1 when I had it was around 5 months old and had been a demo car with an independent Renault dealer who had by now 4 / 5 years later gone bust.
I was told to go to the Renault body shop, it took the guy there about 30 seconds to say no dice, theres been a repair on the nearside back wing unless YOU!!! can prove the repair was done either by Renault, or following Renault's procedures. How could I? The damage did'nt happen while I owned the car. So KEEP THE PROOF!!
Albeit I kept this car real clean. I never noticed it had been repaired, this cost me on this near side back wing the anti perf warranty.
BTW I did the repairs myself, I was lucky, the rust never did come back, and the paint job, it looked good too.
