Try some Sticky Label Remover - can be slow to work but leaves only a slight oily residue which can then be washed off with a soapy cloth.

I thought dealers used self stick vinyl no glue ??

And if so, I'd suspect the problem isn't the letters it is whatever they used to polish the screen, happily buffing over the letters and leaving the stencil of them in the polish.

Have you tried polishing whole screen?
Though to be fair, meths usually clears anything.

And have you asked the dealers?

Final resort, check windscreen insurance is covered and a brick

Best bet is to get the dealer to fit a new screen for you as he caused the problem in the first place.
Worth a punt.
