For info the boot on my Laguna II (without spoiler) is incredibly light compared to the Lag 1 RT Sport I had previousb which had a spoiler on the back.

So I'd say it was the extra weight of the spoiler thats making the boot heavy.

Hi if its not a real Renault spoiler and its a aftermarket spoiler it might just be that it is a bit heavier than a Renault one and the struts can't hold the weight or it could well be that the struts are not working but my guess would be no to that, some after market spoilers can be heavy so thats my guess and if this is the case you are going to have to find a strut that can take the weight or just live with it, i hope this helps Donald.

Hmm... The kind of person who'd fit an aftermarket spoiler, in my experience, would never go for something that subtle.

It actually looks very nice. Perhaps worth replacing the struts before you worry too much; they can fade with time.

Well managed to find new struts from SGShttp://www.sgs-engineering.com at a price of 45.12 inc VAT and delivery.

It seems alot at first, but if I thought I could spend that and not have the boot hit me on the head next time i'm in there it'd be worth it!

Anyone know of any other suppliers? There is eBay I know, but all that seems second hand and i'd rather have new ones.

Thats not a bad price actually, seems very reasonable to me

"Two struts and delivery 45.12, not getting hit on the head by the boot lid?.... Priceless"

I agree with others though that spoiler looks really nice.
