Megan Electric Windows

Does anyone else, or has anyone else has a problem with the Megan II electric windows. I had the recall in which renault changed the motor, or fit a clip or soemthing to that effect, this was about 18 months ago.. but now the drivers side window goes down on its own accord, and wont let you operate it, its got a mind of its own.

Looks like it could be water in the electrics

Hopefully someone will be able to give you more advice, but in the mean time take a look at this thread, it seems to be the same problem as you are seeing...

Renault Megane - Window FUBAR?!!!

You could also do a forum search for 'megane electric window' and see what it brings up.

Good luck!

sounds familiar, there is a little control box on the window regulator motor for one touch pulse and "anti-pinch" control.
this seems to go haywire sometimes . only way to fix the problem is to replace regulator/motor unit which can be expensive if car out of warranty . Mate of mine got two of these replaced for free on his megan even though it was out of warranty . suggest you go to dealer and find out if this can be done as this seems to be a weak point on these models.

The regulators are a known fault on the Megane II windows to the extent that Renault have been known to contribute to replacement even after the 3 year warranty has run out. Several people on the Megane II Owners Club have had this done. I can't give you the link for the club because the moderators will edit my post and remove it.
