Tubaplayer how did you get your trims off, I have an 04 CC and can get the side trim off ok until it gets to (how can I say), the recess where the boot lid closes, the trin folds inwards towards the car it seems to be solid here with no indication of why, I belive you can get the center section out from under the car easy enough, but the side caps are proving to be difficult, working from the side of the car they can be eased out of the retaining clips but once you get around to the boot lid it stops and becomes rather solid, I can't feel any clips there with my screw driver, was yours tight here as well, asuming you know where I am talking about.
