mk2 ph2 bumper on '99 clio...

Hello. Iv seen a few mk2 ph1 clios locally with a ph2 rear bumper on them. I was wandering if this is just a straight swap? I am thinking about getting a ph2 bumper and spraying it my colour.

Can't see any reason why it won't fit. There might be (or might not!) a couple of differences to mountings, but they shouldbe fairly straight forward to sort. If you're doing that you can also fit Ph2 rear lamp clusters too for a more modern look. Another member, beanoclio has recently done this to his Clio and it looks very good If you fit the later clusters there is a little re-wiring to do though

I think you may have to get the ph2 wheel arch liners too for it to fit properly. Either that or run without liners.

You will also lose the Tow Eye in the bottom right hand side of the rear bumper as Mk2 Ph2 have a pre-welded loop just underneath the bumper on the right hand side!

Ok if you don't need to tow anyone!
