Windscreen washers, long delay before water...*Fixed*

I noticed that when I operate the windscreen washers that it takes a long time before the water starts coming out of the jets.
I have traced this to a faulty Non Return Valve (NRV), as after I have used the washers I can see the water running back to the washer bottle through the clear pipe.
I believe the original NRV is situated in the pipe just after the pump.
I have searched the Internet trying to find a NRV to put in it line to stop the water running back but can't seem to find any.
I suppose I could contact the dealer but they would probably want a small fortune for on if they did sell it on it's own.

Anyone had this problem & found anywhere that sells an aftermarket NRV that would do the job.

I would try any of the car accessory shops
you happen to pass would think you would be able
to get something that will fit even if you have to just
cut the pipe and stick it in line with the original.

Most cars have a similar non-return system and usually the pipe bore is similar - so any non-return valve would probably suit. Have you tried cleaning the existing one as it only takes the smallest speck of dirt to cause it to malfunction. If it difficult to remove from its pipe try heating the pipe gently with a match or lighter

Alternatively, if there is an aquatics store near you, one of these might do the job...

I'm not sure though, just maybe worth a try.
