Re: front grille stone guard

On some Clio's the condenser and coolant radiator are one unit. I've never changed one but I remember looking on Autodata when someone asked me to quote for the job and I think they reckoned about 7 hours to do the job so there must be some serious dismantling to do.

Get some nice mesh behind the bumper then you can pretend you're driving something slightly posher

Re: front grille stone guard

I got the garage to install it whilst they had the thing in bits - easier option for me too

They have somehow sandwiched it between the rear of the grille and back of the bumper.... either way it is tight, flat and without cable ties everywhere looks pretty damned good so hopefully it will work.

I went for the black 10 x 10mm diamond one in the end

Nice job, prevention is much cheaper than cure.

Re: front grille stone guard

Lower air intake on the MX5 had no protection at all so after market grilles are plentiful ..think mine cost about 30
