Laguna 11 Rear door handle

Can someone explain in simple words how one removes the rear door handle on a Laguna 11. I have a haynes manual but it is very vague, I did find a thread on here but could not understand that either. I need to remove the lock and the only thing now holding it is the connection between the door handle and lock. I have undone the screw under the grommit as far as it will go but the handle is still solid on the door. I thought I might have to remove the D shaped piece at the end of the handle but have only succeeded in snapping a bit off. Can someone explain how the thing is attached, diagram or piccy welcome then maybe I can figure out how to get it off. Thanks

Re: Laguna 11 Rear door handle

Out side door handle.
You have undone the screw holding it, pull the door handle, give it a few pulls,.
Then the end piece will come lose, if not ,,, have a read of the Espace door handle////// lock barrel thread , exactly same way to allow you to do yours

Re: Laguna 11 Rear door handle

If I pull any harder the door will come off, it appears solid as a rock and I feel I've missed something
