Have you got your 6ft whippy aerials and furry dice ...chuffs and mrs chuffs sunstrip on the windscreen

It is easier to take it apart than to put it back together

I always liked the optimism of the ones that had "Vacant" on the passenger side

Is that to remove use of Klaxons & Bulb horns?
Problem there is, what's strident & what ain't?
IIRC there is a specific law that specifically precludes musical horns. Although "Discordant tones" are allowed.
Best thing I ever did was to fit twin air horns to the Norton, saved my life a few times, as if they couldn't hear the exhausts.

What the MOT manual says on horns
https://www.gov.uk/government/upload...7-vehicles.pdf

So really comes down to opinion as to what is strident or as the manual says, harsh.

With air horns you can usually reduce volume by adding a flow restrictor after the compressor.
Or have them on a separate switch so the normal horn is still present and correct.
Or remove them before the MOT.

Re: Nylon Nuts, Split Washers or Adhesive

Well my twin horns pass the mot no problem, i'm just adding a 3rd trumpet.

I'm fixing it all together with nuts & bolts cos that's the safest option, take a vehicle for an mot with horns held on with cable ties & it will fail, read the manual again.

Have i got the horn - yes every day
