Re: Need advice on repair

Also had one years ago with a MK1 clio in main dealer ..went to pick it up n/s was tight to wall I never thought anything of it ..moved car for SWMBO to get in and the passenger rear door was caved in ...mechanic admitted it was him next thing dealer got us a hire car and they repaired it ...most of us have probably had a car damaged at one point in a dealers but again most of us might not notice it for a few days by then its to late... I actually scraped a customers car just after it had got a full respray ..had to work that night in my own time to repair it

It is easier to take it apart than to put it back together

Re: Need advice on repair

Only had it happen to me once. Small fault I couldn't find (turned out to be a pinhole in a vacuum pipe). Garage rang to say all sorted then said did I want the bad news. One of their mechanics had admitted scratching my car when driving it off the pit. They didn't do body repairs themselves but recommended a couple of repairers to me and covered all the costs. Kept apologising but I never stopped recommending this garage to others when I could.

When I say "I WILL THINK ABOUT IT", I really mean that I don't know my wife's opinion yet.
Currently in twodogs's garage:
