Bodywork Corrosion

Corrosion in bodywork below battery on Mk 1 cabrio. Can I get preformed replacement to weld in?

Might be better of changing the title Steve, as Car is rotten,
Do you mean the inner flitchplate/inner wing..
This is what you are after buddy.
have bought a lot of inner wings, and cut them down, then forced the panel into the chassis rail,.

Thanks for prompt response Stuart.

Still not up to speed with Renault forum - still struggling with land Rover forum. That's the penalty of being old!

Not sure what you mean by "flitch plate". Offending part is the base of the battery well between the bulkhead and offside suspension turret. I assume that there was a drain hole there once!

Used to be able to buy them, they would go over the top of the inner wings, where the rot was,,
Used to blow the old one away, with the welder/bottles.
Fit the flitch, drill and fill along the lip of the wing
Then run a seam of weld along the bottom of it

Do a miss google for inner wing flitch,,
